Hens are prolific brown egg layers and are a dark red color. Rhode Island Reds are used in most brown egg laying hybrids. We have a small flock of pure Rhode Island Reds so our availability is limited. If you would like a bird that looks like a Rhode Island Red and will lay better consider our Novogen Black Tail.
