Frequently Asked Questions

Do you allow tours of your facility?

No, for biosecurity reasons we do not allow tours.

Do you allow customers to pickup their order?

Yes, we allow and encourage you to pickup your order if possible. However, your order MUST be picked up on your scheduled hatch day or we have the right to sell your chicks to another customer. Pickup hours are 5-9 PM Tuesday or 8 AM-5 PM Wednesday. We ask those who pickup to wear clean clothes and shoes (ex. please don't wear the same clothes/shoes that you wear in your chicken coop) and will be required to walk through a disinfectant mat.

How are the chicks shipped and how much is shipping?

We ship with Spee-Dee Delivery, an upper Midwest regional delivery service, which offers Next-day delivery to all of North Dakota and Minnesota, Eastern South Dakota, Northern Iowa and Northwestern Wisconsin. All other areas in Spee-Dee Delivery's service area are Second-day service. We charge a flat fee of $16 for shipping. Spee-Dee Delivery delivers direct to your address and DOES NOT go to your local post office. WE CURRENTLY DO NOT SHIP WITH THE US POSTAL SERVICE.

When will my order arrive?

Orders are shipped on the hatch day you select, which is usually on a Tuesday. You will receive an email with a tracking number when your order is shipped. If you are in the Next Day Delivery area, your order should arrive on Wednesday. Second-day delivery area orders should arrive on Thursday. We are unable to tell you what time they will arrive to your address but it's usually sometime between 9 AM - 5 PM.

What is the minimum order?

For shipping, our minimum order is 20 chicks. This is to help ensure the chicks stay warm during shipping. For pickup orders, there is no minimum.
